Soul-level Enchancing Environment Tips

• Clean your clutter!!! Clean out all closets, drawers and cupboards… Do you feel cluttered, hurried, stressed, no room for growth? Take a look at your environment!

 

• Balance the 5 elements in your environment...  Water, Wood, Fire, Metal and Earth for balance in your life.

 

• Never under-estimate the power of symbols… Happy symbols=Happy life.

 

• Never allow obstructions at your entrance door… Keep your front entrance well lit, cleaned and organized inside and out… Welcoming.

 

• Make sure all hedges and trees are trimmed back and not blocking sidewalks… Otherwise unwelcoming

 

• Light your walkways… Gives people a clear path to your door

 

• Create a welcome center at your front door… People feel welcome and comfortable

 

• Open your front door everyday even if you do not exit through this door… Encourages a pattern or energy to flow throughout your home and/or business

 

• Place a water feature at your front door… Water=activity (mirror, fountain…)

 

• Keep all plants pruned, remove all dead leaves… Harboring dead weight?

 

• Keep all doors from squeaking… Fix all dripping faucets/leaks… Negative and annoying

 

• Change all burnt out light bulbs immediately...  Communicates chaos, can't get it together, incapable

 

• Avoid using fluorescent lighting… Colors are distorted (less attractive), buzzing sound (interrupts more positive, natural sounds)

 

• Avoid mirrors in your bedroom (if you want restful, serene sleeping area)…Mirror is water and water is activity (can also be a startling if you wake up and see movement in a mirror)

 

• Keep all toilet seats down and all drains closed/covered… Otherwise your positive energy is “going down the toilet” or “down the drain”

 

• Make your bed everyday… Chaotic, unorganized energy leaves the room

 

• Straighten your work desk everyday… Decreases stress

 

• Use scents you love for candles, soaps, air fresheners or potpourri

 

• Pictures or special gifts from people or places that aren’t supportive of you?… Get rid of them!  Only have supportive items in your environment

 

• Place furniture so your back is not to the door or window… How do you feel when people “sneak up behind you?”

 

• Select “safe” furniture—rounded, soft curves, no sharp edges or cover edges

 

• Create a beautiful view from every window and door… Beauty liberates and enlightens... Is there a reason why we'd want to surround ourselves with ugliness?
